Barbara Hartmann-Fabbri keeps her Hasselblad 500c loaded with Ektar 100 or Gold 200; she shoots 6x6 compositions that give equal weight to sky and ground. Her work covers diverse geography including but not limited to alpine lakes with turquoise water, Vatican domes framed through windows, empty Mediterranean beaches, Scottish highlands wrapped in mist, white limestone cliffs crowded with sunbathers. Her approach stays consistent regardless of location. Centered compositions, patient waiting for clean light, no filters or manipulation. These are places as they exist during normal conditions, which means overcast skies appear as frequently as clear ones.
