The range here is impressive. Goovaerts travels from Myanmar to Rio to rural Europe, shooting everything from street scenes to landscapes. Working exclusively in black and white, he shows different corners of the world in a way that's visually consistent. Gert is a traveler who's built a body of work that spans continents but feels cohesive as a result of his approach. Contrast is high, subjects are varied and there's an eye for moments made for monochrome.
