Dmitry (@comeondimon) shoots large format film in places deliberately empty of people. Homes and businesses line deserted cobblestones, a tire swing hangs motionless in the countryside, Venice canals frame buildings with no gondolas passing through. His work operates on the principle that architecture and landscape reveal more when nobody's there to activate them. The large format process—setting up sheet film cameras, slow compositions, brush-stroked edge artifacts from development—suits this approach. These aren't studies of absence so much as documentation of what places look like when they simply exist.
