Alex started shooting film in 2012 with hopes of documenting his experiences with more permanence than digital would have allowed. He is most active as a photographer when he's traveling. He constantly experiments with different cameras, films, techniques and subject matter.

Lomography Color Negative 800 is Bickford's go-to travel film because of how it handles unpredictable lighting situations. From time to time, for fun, he shoots LomoChrome Purple and other experimental stocks that produce unusual color shifts.
