shuttermelons (@shuttermelons) shoots landscapes the way some people keep journals. Pen and paper make way for cameras and film. A Minolta X-570 is her go-to while an Olympus XA comes along for backpacking trips where weight matters. Shooting color film ensures her compositions are rendered with the same saturated warmth, collapsing geographic distance into tonal consistency. She photographs what long-distance hikers see: empty coastlines, alpine valleys, roads that disappear into mountain ranges. Film grain softens coasts into something almost pastoral while leaving ridgelines sharp enough to cut.
