A product of Gulfport, Mississippi, Missy Prince now lives in Portland, Oregon. She photographs a mix of places that have seen better days and the vastness of unique landscapes. Her work spans three regions—the Northwest, Deep South and Southwest—but the thread is consistent. Nature is so dominant that it sits undisturbed and reclaims that which has been left behind. Prince is drawn to small towns and isolated areas where time moves differently. The stillness in these images is the quiet of things winding down.
