Julia Klochkova (@julia.klochkova) photographs Alexandra Karelina (@karelinaal) in a way that's close enough to break down formalities, patient enough to wait for unguarded moments. The model's curly hair is as much a subject as her face. Klochkova, the photographer, uses her Minolta SRT-101 (studio) and Pentax 645 (car) to collapse the distance, creating portraits that feel less like a session and more like documentation of existing intimacy. The color film renders skin tones warm against cool backgrounds. This is portraiture that assumes familiarity rather than establishing it.
