Panaef's photos from the early 2000s onward look like they were pulled from a forgotten archive. He shoots musicians, artists, friends—everyday people caught in quiet moments. The Olympus Pen S gives that compact half-frame look but the magic happens in the darkroom with lith printing, which adds grain and tonal weirdness that digital can't touch. He is documenting his world and aging it in chemicals until it looks like someone else's past.
