Miguel Grattier is a self-taught photographer from Santa Fe, Argentina who worked as a journalist and art critic before focusing on photography full-time. His images move through urban and rural areas, from waterfront promenades to foggy intersections. The work is distinguished by black and white film with heavy grain and high contrast. Grattier shoots people in public spaces without staging. His compositions are straightforward. He works with natural light and available conditions. The journalist's eye is still there; he observes, records, moves on.
