Tim van Driel, a native of Haarlem, started with digital photography but eventually got tired of editing hundreds of photos after every shoot. Inspired by photographers like Jason Kummerfeldt and Kyle McDougall, he switched to film for the slower, more deliberate process.
He shoots both 35mm and medium format at racing events. Images capture cars in motion with an emphasis on speed and the mechanics of vintage racing. The analog process allows him to slow down in fast-paced environments.
